Boğma Raki

The classic traditional Turkish Boğma Rakı 47% ABV is developed and produced in the Netherlands by Draco Spirit distillery according to the principle of purity and old, traditional recipes from Hatay (Antioch) and Thracian.

Bogma Raki is made from dried fruits such as figs, raisins, honey and distilled again with Turkish anise, according to old tradition, without any additives (i.e. without agricultural ethyl alcohol and sugar).

During the maceration process, the dried fruit must with honey is fermented with the natural yeasts found in the skins of the fruit used. No external industrial yeast is used. Characteristically, the fermentation process takes place in old wine barrels at low temperatures.

Before bottling, the wine is aged for at least six months in amphoras or barrels. Distillation takes place entirely in handcrafted, traditional pot stills with a maximum capacity of 300 liters. Triple pot still distillation preserves only the distinctive aromas of the grapes, resulting in a complex blend.
