SILVER Series:
The classic traditional traditional fig raki “Arak Tini” Samandag (ancient town of Seleucia Pieria, district of Hatay Province in Turkey) with 44% ABV is made by Draco Spirit distillery according to the principle of purity and old traditional recipes.
Boğma Raki is made from dried figs and a blend of fresh figs and then Distilled once again with Turkish aniseed, according to old tradition, without any additives (i.e. without agricultural ethyl alcohol and sugar).
During the maceration process, the fig-must is fermented with the natural yeasts found in the grape skins; no external industrial yeast is used. A key characteristic is that the fermentation process takes place in stainless steel vats at low temperatures. Before bottling, the raki is aged in stainless steel tanks for at least three months. Distillation is carried out entirely in handmade, traditional (pot still) stills with a maximum capacity of 300 liters. Triple distillation is used. The key feature that distinguishes Bo ğ ma Rak ı from industrial raki from Turkey is the natural fermentation process and the use of traditional pot stills (alambik).
Boğma Rakı is made entirely in the Netherlands in a traditional way and complies with the Alcohol and Spirits Production Act (EU) 2019/787.
